have a fresh install of Exchange 2003 with SP2 it is running on Windows 2003
Enterprise.

My problem is that I can send e-mail inside my domain fine. I can receive
e-mails as long as they are send from inside my domain. I can send e-mails
outside of my domain and they get there fine. But when I try to send a e-mail
inside the domain or reply to a e-mail that is send from the domain it seems
to send fine I don't get any error but the e-mail never gets to the person.
The message is never returned to the sending address either. When I go to the
mail box and look at the number of items it always changes. I have a
administrator mailbox and a user mail box. They can send e-mail between them
fine but they can't receive e-mail outside of the domain. It show that they
both have three items in the mail box but when I use OWA there is no items in
the mailbox unless I send one from the other domain user. Can anyone please
help this is driving me crazy. Thanks Josh

Josh,

If you enable message tracking on the Microsoft Exchange server (by going to
the properties of the server in Exchange System Manager and enabling message
tracking on the General tab) and then send a message and have a look at it
in the Message Tracking Centre does it state that it is delivered ?

Have you logged into the Mailboxes with Outlook ?
So is it just when sending sending an email from inside the domain and
recieveing email sent from an external source that is not working ?
Is it affecting both users ?
Are the users stamped with the correct email address on their AD Account ?

I will answer my own question on this one. I finally figured it out.

The computer was connecting to the internet through the LAN and not the WAN.
The WAN was not enabled by my ISP.

So messages could get out through the LAN and messages could get to other
users in exchange because they never left the computer.

But when messges was sent to the WAN IP address for the server it was not
getting though.
