Outlook clients connected by WAN are slow and other problems |
|
|
We have an dedicated Exchange server 2003 with SP1 on a Windows 2000 server
with SP4 at site A. Site A and site B are linked with a 2MBit WAN connection.
2 DCs exist on every site.
Outlook 2000 SP3 clients on site A have no problem, but the Outlook clients
(same version) on site B cant work properly on the exchange server (at site
A). The connection is terminated some times a day, but the WAN connection is
still present. Other services over this WAN connection are working properly.
I have not found and hint for this problem in any eventlog (Exchange, DC,
Client).
And there is another strange behavior on a DC at site A. We have to reboot
this DC every few days, otherwise it dont answer LDAP querys properly. I
think that these 2 problems are related, but I dont know where I have to
search.
Thanks in advance for any comment. ;)

We had a problem after installing SP1 on the remote sites, concerning ODBC
and other databases.,
After searching we found next link :http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898060
Hope it solves your problem
