I have an A/A/P cluster. On occasion the HTTP virtual server from either
active node will cause the virtual server to fail-over. When this happens I
notice that the node that was the owner of the resource has a different IP
address for the HTTP virtual server.
We have two different IP addresses on the nodes and the private address is
what appears in the IP address for the HTTP virtual server. The only thing I
can do to get this to fail back over is to set the value to 'all unassigned'.
I haven't seen anything in the event logs that points me in the right
direction.
Has anyone seen anything like this or have any ideas on why this is
happening or how to fix?

Where are you setting the value to "All Unassigned"? In ESM? Or in the IIS
Manager console?
Any changes to the IP bindings for clustered HTTP protocol virtual servers
need to be made in the ESM.

I think you got it. I didn't even think about checking in the ESM. I was
always looking at the IIS part.

Thank you for your help.
