I have a 2 node cluster both running Exchange 2003. I need to install SP2 but
on one node it says I need to failover the virtual directory to another node.
I need to do this manually, but I cannot find any failover option.

Can someone give me the step-by-step?

Thanks

Mike

Mike -

KB.867624 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/867624) has the step-by-step
process to get upgraded to Exchange 2003 SP1 -- the steps for which are
identical for an upgrade to SP2.

Thank you for the link, it is what I'm looking for. However, I am seeing a
problem.
I am trying to move the virtual server from node 2 to node 1. When I choose
move group, here is what happens:
1. I see the status say offline.
2. Then I see the owner column change to Node 1 and everything goes online.
3. Then I see everything go offline
4. Then the owner column changes to node 2 and everything goes back online.

Do you know how I can stop this?

Mike -

I suspect you're skipping step 6 in the KB article. The resources will try
to come back online automatically if you simply "move" them from an online
state to the upgraded node. You will need to "take offline" first, move them
offline to the other node, bring selected resources online at the upgraded
node, and do the "Upgrade Exchange Virtual Server" action at the upgraded
node. Only then will the resources successfully come online on the upgraded
node.
