Hello,

We are running SBS 2003 Premium and we recently purchased a new HP Network
Scanner - Digital Sender 9200c.

I am setting up the addressing feature in the scanner and need to point to
an LDAP address book. I am pointing to the IP address of my SBS server,
logging in as the administrator or anonymously, but the scanner does not see
the server. The scanner is searching on port 389. Now the scanner sees the
server for the SMTP sending feature but again not for the LDAP address book.

I read somewhere that to troubleshoot LDAP to go to into your browser and
enter this: LDAP://192.168.2.101 (SBS IP address). When I do this a FIND
PEOPLE dialog box appears so I enter a name. I then get this error:

"An error occurred while performing the search. Your computer, your
Internet service provider, or the specified directory service may be
disconnected. Check your connections and try again. Operators Error".

I get this same error on our other SBS servers in different locations.

Does anyone know how I can get access to the LDAP address book so that it
can be accessed via our new scanner.
