Removing Public Folders from Old Exchange Server |
|
|
I recently migrated from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003. In the migration
process I sync'ed all the public folders that I wanted to have moved over to
the new server, and left the folders I no longer wanted unsyc'ed figuring
that they would disappear once the old server was gone. Unfortunately now the
folders are showing up but giving an error message if the users click on them.
Here is the question ……how do I remove the orphaned public folders from
exchange? I have seen
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q152433 . But this is
for Exchange 5.5 not Exchange 2003.
Thanks for all your help.

You needed to remove the folders completely. The heirachy is synched,
hence why you're seeing the folders.
Did you tear down and format the box, or is it still available. |
