Hi,

I have a customer that has old emails in her Deleted Items folder (from 2003
and 2004) that she is trying to delete. Every time she deletes one message,
a read receipt is being generated, even though the message has been read.

It's not happening on newer messages.

In the beginning of this year, I upgrade the client to a new server with
Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003. The problem has just started.

So the issue is two-fold:
1. the messages were read and it's sending out a read receipt
2. she has configure Outlook 2003 to stop sending out read receipts, but
they still get sent

Short of deleting the messages with ExMerge, I have not found a solution to
this problem.

Has anyone seen this before and found a solution? Can read receipts be
stopped on the server side (I don't believe so)?
