Hi,
Every time I click move group on my EVS (cluster administrator),
I experienced slow (3-5 minutes) fail-over to the other node.
I'm using active-passive with Exchange 2k3 SP1, this is a fresh
installation of Exchange Cluster 2003 and the load of email traffic is
still low.

After playing around with take offline / bring online. I noticed that
the problem originated from EVS Network name. All others (IP, Microsoft
Exchange System Attendant, etc.) can fail-over in less than 1 minutes.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
S Lim

How is your name resolution configured? DNS? WINS?

Cheers,

Rod

Hi Rod,
I'm using DNS for name resolution. DNS and AD are stored in Windows
2003 Domain Controller. All Servers are using Windows 2003 Service Pack
1. The Exchange version is Exchange 2003 Service Pack 1.

Thanks,
S Lim
