NDR to public folder |
|
|
I am having issues with some people not being able to send mail to a public
folder. I am able to but not others. They get an ndr? When I do a trace
its says delevered Locally to ITsupport@mydomain.com and the next line says
Non-Delivered Report generated. Could this be a permissions issue on the
public folder?
Thanks in advanced

Neil,
I was impatient, this worked. Resetting the permissions on the public
folder for the Default user was the issue. Mail is just slow getting to the
public folder?
Thanks

"default" role, since this is the role used to cover authenticated users who
are not explicitly listed in the permissions tab. They'll need at least
"contributor" rights. Also, if the users are external to your organisation,
you'll need to set the Anonymous role to at least "contributor".

People will be sending from inside only:
default was set to review and changed to CUSTOM (create and read)
anonymous is set the same. Still havning the issue, does it take a while for
the permissions to replicate? I added one user specifically with owner
permissions and didn't get a bounce but nothing showed up in the public
folder. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks again

Yes, patience can typically be worthwhile where Exchange permissions are
concerned. :)
How slow is slow?
