Re: reverse proxy to to exchange server |

What are you trying to do?
If you just want Exchange to receive emails, just set the MX record to the
linux box and configure it to forward mail to Exchange.
If you're trying to publish OWA, then you'll need some proxy software.

the exchange server is within a trusted network that uses a Linux
(postfix)
mail gateway to send and receive mails. I want to set it up so that
exchange
is accessible from the outside world by setting up a reverse proxy on the
linux box.How do i configure it on the exchange server to listen to the
public address of the linux box. I used the httpcfg command and ran the
following command,
httpcfg set iplisten -i XXx.xxx.xxx = the ip address tha I want to add to
the inclusion list
httpcfg query iplisten
i also turned on the http virtual server via the dos command net stop http
/y and net start w3svc. However when i go back to the gui and look at IIS
manger the defualt web site is stopped an so is the http virutal server.
When I try to enable them i get the follwoing error message, "the format
of
the specified network name is invalid."
How do i configure a exchange box to listen to a reverse proxy.? |
