Does Exchange server Standard Edition support Clustering...? |
|
|
Hi
i am running my exchange server 2003 standard edition and i want it backup
solution, but as i had read that Exchange Server 2003 standard doesn't
support Clustering
The Question is that whether is there any service pack for exchange that
support Clustering, if not then i want some back-up solution for exchange
server 2003
regards

Regarding Microsoft clustering, Rod is, as always, right on the numbers.
Unless you look into a third party tool, such as Legato AAM, Veritas VVR and
Veritas VCS, Neverfail, etc, you can not cluster an Exchange 2003 Standard
node. The best you can do is have a really good DR plan and test it.

You could look into third party applications that will allow you to leverage
your existing infrastucture of 2003 standard.
Some of my clients use double-take.
