Dear All,

We are running Outlook Web Access on Exchange 2003.

In IIS, I’ve changed the redirection to the Default Web Site’s Home
Directorry by changing the setting under the heading ‘The Content for This
Resource Should Come From:’ from the default ‘A directory located on the
computer’ (c:\inetpub\wwwroot) to ‘A Redirection to a URL’ (/exchange).

If I now try to access OWA I get the error message:

HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable

Even if I hange it back to the default ‘A directory located on the computer’
it keeps buggin’ me with the same error.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Oli4

Hi Oliver

Does the Exchange server hosts any web sites .i.e does this also act as a
web server .If yes then you neend to make one of the file in exchange
(Davex.dll) run out of the process

You can refer this link :
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;282230

This could also happen if you have configured security configuartion wizard
on Windows 2003 SP1, Outlook web access users would not be able to connect to
exchange

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your response.
I’ve found what caused the ‘HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable’ error. I did
rechange the redirection to the Exchange Virtual Directory too. This should
be pointing to \\.\BackOfficeStorage\,<DOMAIN>\MBX and not to
c:\inetpub\wwwroot.
My mistake.

Regards,

Olivier
