I have an exchange 2003 on a windows 2003 server. This server happens to be
a DC and i wanted to do the changes for Optimizing memory. Having the server
as a DC, can the change be made or is it not recommened?

If you mean the /3GB switch, then it is not recommended on a DC that
is also an exchange server.
