Hi Carol
You can Migrate to SBS 2003 from 2000 if you can't upgrade. See

2003. So I can't use any of the SBS tools.
I need to move to full Windows 2003 / Exchange 2003, not SBS 2003.
Can I proceed as follows? Are there any pitfalls?
Build the new server with Windows 2003.
Join it to the existing SBS 2000 domain.
Install Exchange 2003 on new server in the existing SBS organisation
Move mailboxes to new server.
DCPROMO new server (this is where I wonder if SBS 2000 will allow me
to proceed)
Remove the SBS 2000 server from the domain and manually clean up as
after a hardware failure since there is no DCPROMO in 2000.
Many thanks for any tips |
