Hi, it seems some people's mailbox folders (eg inbox, sent items) are
accessible to anyone via File> Open> Other Users, this is because the
permissions on their folders are set to default = Owner. Note this issue
doesnt affect everyone, but I think only the people who were on the system
when exchange was upgraded to 2003. Also note the permissions on the root
level mailbox from the Outlook 2003 client is normal- Default = none and
anonymous = none. Its only the sub folders of the root mailbox were the
problem exists (eg inbox, sent items).

Does anyone know how I can force everyone's mailbox folders permission to be
anonymous = none and Default = none? This would save me the embarassment from
having to email everyone requesting them to check the permissions on each of
their folders and configure appropiately. Sorry for long message, a tad
difficult to explain. Thks

Thks, but will this allow me to modify the permissions on individual folders
within peoples mailboxes like the inbox and not the mailbox as a whole?

Yes.
