Where can I find the "best practices" and checklists for migrating from a
Windows Server 2000 SP4/ Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 (no AD Connector installed)
environment to Windows Server 2003/Exchange 2003? I already have WSUS
installed and operational with the Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003
updates ready to install. This migration will also be replacing all our
existing servers. I will not be replacing the Windows 2000 and XP Pro
workstations.

Windows 2000 Standard => Windows 2003 Standard (2 hardware servers replacing
2 existing hardware servers)
Exchange 5.5 Standard => Exchange 2003 Standard (1 server running on a DC
replacing 1 server running on a DC)
ASP based web-site may be migrated until a replacement in ASPX can be built.
I may also leave the ASP web-site on the old Windows 2000 Server as a member
server.

I know how to migrate WINS, DHCP, DNS, etc. Is there a version of XCOPY
that I can use to migrate my network file system, including permissions and
share informations?

I know MS has this information, but I can't find it.

Thanks,
Mike Ober.

This will give you a good start on the Exchange Migration part;
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange_2003_Upgrade_Checklist.html

Also the Deployment Guide is worth reading
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/depguide.mspx

I have more, but this should provide a good start.

For this I use robocopy (XP010 is the latest I think)

and share informations?

And here you could give rmtshare a try.

Both are reskit tools and should be on the MS site somewhere.

With regards,
Cor.
