Hi all,
our Exchange Server 2003 was working fine until users stopped
sending/receiving mail. At client side it gives message: "Task 'Microsoft
Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available.
Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'"

But is is available, becuase I can access it through the network.

any info will be greatly appreciated

Hi

Check the Version of Outlook Client on client side .Are they using Office XP
, Then there's a Hotfix and u can get it for free by calling Microsoft
Support Team . This is an Error that Generally occurs while downlaoding
offline address book .

U can run the Exchange BPA(ExBPA ) report on the Exchange server which
would help u in finding issues with ur Exchange server if u have any

Thanks Andy,
but I did not give you all the details. The problem was: The service for
Information Store had refused to start, 'could not find the local path'. I
sorted it out.
Thanks.
