I have a client who would like for all E-mails that contain an attachment to
be redirected to the VP of company so the VP can review the attachment and
then forward it on to the receiving party. Does anyone have any solutions or
advice?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why oh why.....What makes an email without an attachment different
than one with one? What is the goal here?

Anyway,
3rd party gateway solutions such as Tumbleweed or maybe some AV
products or write an event sink or check out www.slipstick and maybe
they have something.

to do.
you may want to discover what is real intentions, are.

Oz,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the VP does have too much time but they
are concerned with data exiting the company to unauthorized persons.

Thanks for your help in researching!

GFi mail security does this for you. Just enter the conditions. Set it up to
forward all attachments to the VP, he can approve them or not.

I'd be interested to hear how he gets on...

3rd party is probably the best way to go here. MIMEsweeper from Clearswift
can quarantine messages based on rules that you create, then the VP could go
in and release them as time permits. I'm sure other 3rd party apps can do the
same thing.

So, if I copy the contents of the attachment and paste it into the
message as text, it's okay? :)

Does the VP care about the attachments that are just signatures at the
end of the message? What about v-cards? NDR's?

Oh . . . and what about the encrypted messages that leave the company?

I'd give this about a week . . . maybe less.

Thank You all for your help. Yeah I know it's a bit unrealistic and won't
last long but the pres of the company thinks some trade secrets went out the
door via an e-mail attachment.

Thanks again for your help!
