I've migrated over to 2003 about 2 months ago and about a month ago I
stopped all the services on my 5.5 server to see if I got any errors, no
real errors other that LDAP error in the ADC. I'm was going to go ahead and
remove the 5.5 server and I cannot get it to come back up but the
instructions say to keep the services stopped anyway. When I try and delete
it from the 5.5 manager I get several errors. First is "SMTP Extension
could not be loaded" second was "Cannot delete server cause not all the
public folders were moved to new server" I've had everything migrated for a
over two months and all my public folders are there and I move the system
folders also. Any ideas on how to fix this or check up on this public
folder error? I'm new to 2003 exchange and don't know to much. Thanks

This is most common problem in migrating from 5.5 to 2003.

Here`s the solution:

1) Take your Ex 5.5 Server offline.
2) Install Ex 5.5 Administrator on one of your 2003 Server.
3) Start 5.5 Administrator & delete 5.5 Server.
