I have a question regarding Exchange 2003 in Muitidomain environment and
requirement for domain trust relationship.
I have company.dom domain where we have our main Exchange 2003 server. We
are planning on creating a child domain west.company.dom. With a required
DC for the child domain, we are also planning on installing a Exchange 2003
(at child domain) that belongs to our existing ORG with same SMTP address.
Due to the security concerns we are planning on establishing one way trust
only. What kind of domain trust relationship is required in a multi domain
enviroment?

I think you should read this document:
"Best Practice Active Directory Design for Exchange 2000",
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=F53662B9-4E69-40CE-AA19-7B0C48710403
(it also applies to Exchange 2003)

Well, you're not implementing a true child domain. A true child domain, on
the same AD tree has implicit trusts, so you can't change them.
What you will build is a separate domain on a separate forest, there's a
scenario on the document that resembles to yours.
