Problem with Exchange 2003 Offline Address Book |
|
|
Everyday at 4:00AM when the offline address book does its up date I get the
following error in the application log:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeSA
Event Category: OAL Generator
Event ID: 9320
Date: 1/19/2005
Time: 4:11:32 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MAIL
Description:
OALGen could not generate full details for some entries in the offline
address list for address list '\Global Address List'. To see which entries
are affected, event logging for the offline address list generator must be
set to at least medium.
- Default Offline Address List
For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
I have two questions. How do I set the event logging for the offline
address list generator to medium? Secondly what do I do when I find the
entry that is causing the problem? Delete and recreate?
Thanks,
Rob Korzuch

You set event logging by going to the Diagnostics logging tab on the server
properties. You'll find the OAL Generator under the MSExchangeSA Service.
Set it to medium as suggested and you should see some events being logged in
the Application log.

I turned on the logging and seven users have the following error:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeSA
Event Category: OAL Generator
Event ID: 9323
Date: 1/19/2005
Time: 11:06:37 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MAIL
Description:
Entry 'USERNAME' has invalid or expired e-mail certificates. These
certificates will not be included in the offline address list for '\Global
Address List'.
- Default Offline Address List
For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
How do I remove the invalid or expiered email certificate from their account?
Thanks for the help,
Rob Korzuch
