Email Alert |
|
|
I have a client pc that does not get an automatic notification when an email
arrives. There is a check box in the properties, however, if the client
clicks on anything in outlook the email will pop up immediately, but if
outlook is minimized then it takes up to an hour before the client recieves
an email alert.

What version of Outlook are they using? Outlook 2000 or 2003? Are they
using Cached Exchange mode?

It depends upon the version of client that they are using. Outlook 2000
does not have Cached Exchange mode. Outlook 2003 does. Let me know what
client you are using and we can go from there in the troubleshooting
process.

Sorry for the delay...I have been on the road.
I have not been able to duplicate this in my lab. Does this happen to them
on all PCs, or just on a single PC? Does it happen if you create a new
profile?
If it happens only on one of the PCs, can you download and run Belarc
(www.belarc.com) and see if there are any large software differences between
the two systems?
