Re: One Domain Name mult-sites with Exchange Servers |

Essentially one domain is going to have one MX record and one point of
entry. You can have multiple MX records with the same cost or more common a
second with a lower cost for backup, but this is still one entry point (all
be it on a different server). Usually from a security perspective large
companies prefer this as they like having only one way in and out of the
WAN, otherwise you are maintaining multiple firewalls etc.
If you have to do it I would look at giving each user an abc.com secondary
email address and give them a primary one of uk.abc.com, usa.abc.com etc
and then have MX records for each country that points to the local server in
that country.

servers at different sites using that domain but not have all the traffic
come to that one mx record? Would I have to create different mx records
with
the abc.com and add the site, or does everything have to come through the
one
place and then get routed by exchange to the proper box. The problem is
some
of these sites are overseas. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. |
