I've read article Q812453 which explains the steps on how to move an
exchange server to a new domain in the same forest, however a couple of
questions

Assuming you cannot move the mailboxes to another Exchange server because
alternative hardware is not available, if the databases are backed up and
then the maiboxes are deleted,.

Will any permissions for public folders, delegation to mailboxes, rules etc
will be lost when the server is moved to new domain and databases restored ?

Is there a way to move an exchange server to another domain in the forest,
but keep all settings for the mailboxes and distribution lists etc ( the
requirement is that we need to simply change domain membership of the
exchange server, but keep all mailboxes, permissions as before the move)

Has anyone performed this and share any experience ?

Thanks in advance
