smtp connector

I have created a smtp connector on my exchange 2003, but the mails or not
send. even after retry's. message 'unable to bind to DNS' I used the same
settings as i had on a secondary exchange 2003, where everything works fine
for a long time.
After i deleted the connector mail was send out without problems. ??
