    Blocking extensions

I know it was possible in exchange 5.5 to block attachments but I can't find
a way to block them in Exchange 2000.

Can someone explain how to set this up?

    Thanks

Exchange cannot block attachments by default. The same is true with
Exchange 2000. Outlook, however, can block *access* to some attachments. I
believe that started with Outlook 2000 SR-2a?

If you want true attachment blocking capability, you still need to purchase
a 3rd party product such as an antivirus program that performs attachment
    blocking.

    Hi McGraw,

you would need a third party product to do that.
There are lots of free and commercial on the market.
Furhtermore you need to check for yourself if you really
want to reject them (to save bandwith and server load) or
    just quarantine them.

    Thanks
    Stefan
