    Everyone Permission

Exchange 2K - problem began when users found they were able to read email in
other users mailbox using OWA. Began looking at mailboxes in users and
computers and found that the everyone group had inherited read permissions.

removed the everyone group from the site which, in turn, removed it from the
    user folders/mailbox permissions.

Now we're not getting any email at all from outside our organization. Any
ideas? Does some part of finding a mailbox to deliver traffic to require the
everyone group to have permissions? Help?

    Thanks - bh

The group "Everyone" has (or had, before you removed it) inherited
permissions to read the PERMISSIONS, not permission to read the data.

removed the everyone group from the site which, in turn, removed it from the
    user folders/mailbox permissions.
    Put it back.
