can't log in with web client

On Exchange 2003 Server I have set up several users in Active Directory,
created their exchange mailbox, etc. I can send email to their box just fine
    (verified in Exchange System Manager).

My problem is I can't log on to the web client with any of them. I am
getting a "HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized" error. I have set up other users who
can log in fine. I have compared their user profiles to make sure they are
the same and they are. I know this information is pretty vague...can anyone
    help me?

    Many thanks.

Have you done and hardening lately? If so, look at the groups of users that
can log in? Are they administrators? If you've hardened the front-end
server it's possible that you're restricted some folders that 'authenticated
    users' need access to.

Do these users have email addresses in the Primary SMTP Domain (as defined
    in the Default Recipient Policy)?
