Thread: Store Wide Events on Additional Stores

Store Wide Events on Additional Stores

On registering for store wide events using the GUID of the systemmailbox in
the primary mailbox store, I can capture OnsyncSave:OnsyncDelete events for
all mailbox stores in the first storage group.

However, that event registration does not capture events in mailboxes in a
second storage group. To remedy this, I have attempted to create a second
store-wide registration by using the GUID of the systemmailbox from a mailbox
store in the second storage group. On running the regevent script, I get the
    following error message:

Error Opening Connection : -2147217895 Object or data matching the name,
    range,
or selection criteria was not found within the scope of this operation.

This error can also be replicated if you attempt a store-wide registration
using any systemmailbox GUID that isnt hosted in the primary mailbox store of
    the first storage group.

How can you register for store wide events for all mailboxes across all
    storage groups on a server?

    Regards

Try to use Exchange Explorer tool from Exchange SDK instead.

Logging on as any user to the exchange explorer, i selected "add event
registration". Working through the wizard, i came to the scope and rule
screen. i was only given the option to select "Deep" or "Shallow". Scope of
    "Any" is greyed out.

Finaliaze your registration creation with "Deep" scope, then re-open the
event registratiom item and change the Scope from "Deep" to "Any".
