Public folder would be best. But watch that any sent items will go into
the
users sent items not be located with the public folder. I would also set
send on behalf of access and have users reply using the From field (turn
on
under new message, view menu, from field) and enter the public folder
name -
this way any replies go to the folder not to the users inbox.
You could use a generic user/mailbox account. The same issues would apply
regarding sent items in local inbox and the send on behalf of issue. To
give
everyone access to the mailbox account, go to AD, Exchange Advanced,
Mailbox
rights and grant Full mailbox access. Grant Send As on security or send on
behalf of in Exchange General.

We have a client who is currently using a POP3 account for a generic
mail
account everyone can access. For example, if someone mails to
mail@company.com, everyone can access it locally and anyone can respond
to
it. We are moving them to SBS 2003 and setting up their mail in
Exchange.
Can anyone offer a solution to create a mail account that everyone could
access and anyone could reply to and a plus would be to determine who
answered which email? My solution is to create a mail-enabled Public
Folder
that everyone could access. Then they could reply from w/in the Public
Folder. Would that be a way to handle this? Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
