What am I missing?

Setting up test environment. One Exchange server 2003, One PDC Server 2003.
The exchange server is able to log on to the domain, however when i attempt
to install exchange 2003 i get an error that states that exchange cannot
connect to the active directory shema.

did you run setup with the /forestprep and then /domainprep switches first?

I attempted to run the forrest prep on exchange box but it failed same error.
Should i run it on the PDC first?

do you see any errors in the event log?
i don't think it would hurt to run forestprep and domainprep on the dc
first, then if that works, exchange setup on the other server. i'd give it
a try.

Thanks for ther replay....I ran the forrest prep and the domain prep on the
PDC. When i attempted to install exchange i received the error that it
couldnt contact the schema Active direcectory
